Started in 2009 through jam session covers from artists such as Ray Charles, Black Joe Lewis, Black Sabbath, The Grateful Dead, The White Stripes, and many more, The Seventh Sons have been working on perfecting the “Fuzzadelic” sound. The Chicago band plays rock music with a twist of reggae, funk, psychedelia, punk rocked blues, and freestyle jamming. The band plays throughout the regional area at local festivals and venues.
Drummer Steve Kost, is a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He served as a Hull Technician in hostile environments such as Mogadishu with the Navy Seabees. After separation, Kost began working as an iron worker in Chicago. He feels fulfilled from the physical products of his work in both music and his post-military career, and music especially has helped him deal with combat related stress and anxiety.
